1. Who We Are

SoccerViza is a soccer development program based in Puerto Viejo de Talamanca, Costa Rica. We have helped place 400+ players into professional opportunities across 30+ countries since 2012. The site and programs are operated by SoccerViza and its founders Giuseppe ("Joe") Funicello and Cecilia Lihv.

Information you provide directly

• Contact information — name, email, phone, country, and message content when you fill out a form, book a call, or email us.
• Program registration information — date of birth, playing position, current team or college, video links, and any other information needed to evaluate your application or process your registration.
• Payment information — handled by our third-party payment processors (Stripe, PayPal, or similar). We do not store full payment card numbers on our servers.

Information collected automatically

• Usage data — pages visited, time on site, referring site, device, browser, and approximate location (from IP).
• Cookies and similar technologies — to remember preferences, measure usage, and improve the site.

Information from third parties

• Analytics providers — Google Analytics for site usage data.
• Advertising partners — Meta (Facebook) Pixel for measuring marketing effectiveness.
• Social platforms — when you interact with our content on Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, LinkedIn, X, or YouTube, those platforms may share aggregated information with us per their own policies.

• To respond to inquiries and book consultations.
• To process program registrations, deliver our services, and manage your participation.

• Service providers — payment processors, email tools, hosting (Netlify), analytics (Google), and similar vendors who help us operate.
• Professional clubs and scouts — only when you have applied to be evaluated and have explicitly consented to your information being shared with our scouting network.
• Legal compliance — when required by law, court order, or to protect our rights and safety.

SoccerViza operates from Costa Rica with players, coaches, and clubs located worldwide. Your information may be transferred to and processed in countries outside your own. We rely on standard contractual clauses and similar safeguards where required.

9. Children's Privacy

Our services are intended for players 16 years and older. If you are under 18, a parent or guardian must consent to your participation. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

10. Security

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards to protect your information. No system is 100% secure — if you believe your data has been compromised, contact us immediately.
