A core of SoccerViza All-Star Team From Iceland headed to Sweden to play together.

March 29, 2018

SoccerViza has placed players all over the world in the last five years. Over 200+ players have either earned trials or professional contracts from clubs as big Queretaro FC, FC Cincinnati or Vitória F.C. to smaller clubs in countries like Iceland, Sweden or Costa Rica.

In placing and recommending players SoccerViza has grown relationships with clubs such as Grythyttan IF, which is a small amateur club in Sweden just outside of Orbero. The partnership allows players to head to Grythyttan IF to continue playing the game, be in a country that has more opportunities to be seen (unlike the US where opportunity is so low), and to help the team hopefully climb higher in the countries league ranks.

“I am really happy with the relationship we have been able to grow with Grythyttan IF. We are able to recommend players with the right mindset and attitude to Grythyttan. We know these players will go there and be focused on performing well and building their careers. It’s a good club with good people and an opportunity for guys to keep playing the game. In the USA you play PDL or NPSL for 3 months and then what? At least these guys can participate in a longer season and we can hopefully send people to watch those games or they perform well and spark their own interest from outside clubs”

- Joe Funicello, SoccerViza Director

Grythyttan IF has taken 6 SoccerViza All-Star Team players from Iceland into the team for the upcoming 2018 season...

Zach Reynolds

College: University of West Florida

The talented Floridian defender is the type of player that you can count on to have consistent performances throughout the season. He is not flashy or someone that will stick out throughout the course of a game. But he will win his individual battles and be a staple in your back line.

Marcus Michelleti

College: University of Rhode Island

There is no better way to describe Marcus Michelleti other than being a "workhorse". He is a box to box wing back that can play on either side of the backline. The hard nose defender loves to get forward and join in as an attacking option.

Omar Perez

College: Santa Ana College

Omar is the type of defensive midfielder that will keep your team balanced, break up play when needed and keep the game simple. He was one of the best performers in the SoccerViza PRO All-Star team's games while in Iceland on tour.

Dylan Williams

College: SUNY Oneonta

Dylan was named the Steph Curry of soccer by his teammates and coaching staff while on tour in Iceland with SoccerViza Allstar Team. An engine in the midfielder who also has a presence of a leader in the locker room and on the field. Dylan has experience of playing professionally in Australia last season.

Patrick Sullivan

College: Slippery Rock University

Don't let Patrick Sullivan's size fool you! He has great technical ability as a big center back and ping a pass with precision. Putting in a man of the match performance for the SoccerViza PRO All-Star team vs Icelandic giants Valur.

Julian Stifano

Bethel High School - Connecticut

Julian is a U-20 SoccerViza PRO All-Star team player and plays with a composure and confidence that is beyond his years. Clean on the ball and very precise with his passing in the final third. Can create and see a pass that most players can not.

Stafford Chipungu Jr.

College: Towson University

Stafford was not on tour with SoccerViza Pro All-Star but was part of SoccerViza's PRO last East Showcase Combine November in 2017. Chipungu is a powerful attacking option who can play as winger or striker. His pace and strength are sure to give any back line trouble.
