On Monday, Sergio Buenrostro became the second SoccerViza player to sign a contract with Queretaro FC this season.
The 21-year old native of Southern California earned a trial with the Mexican club after a strong performance at SoccerViza's San Diego Combine.
Sergio checked into the clubhouse Monday morning and had his first half day with the team in the following hours.
It was enough for Queretaro II coach Alberto Coyote to get a good impression and know that he wanted to sign the attacking midfielder. Within hours, Sergio became the newest member of the club as he signed on to play through the rest of the season.
"It's incredible news from Mexico," SoccerViza Founder and CEO Joe Funicello said.
"We were a little surprised that it happened so soon. We know that Sergio has the talent to not only survive, but thrive in that environment, and I'm in awe that he was able to make that impression on his new team so quickly. I wish him the absolute best now on the next chapter of his career."
Sergio makes SoccerViza's second player at Queretaro, joining Josue Soto who is playing with the Queretaro U-20 setup.
