Olimpia Satu Mare Secures Haitian Defender Molvensly Guerrier for the Remainder of the Season

Writer: Joe FunicelloJoe Funicello

Olimpia Satu Mare has strengthened its defensive ranks with the signing of Haitian center-back Molvensly Guerrier for the remainder of the season. The highly regarded defender, who previously featured for Charlotte FC U20s, the academy side of the MLS club, arrives in Romania eager to make an impact.

Guerrier has already settled into life in Satu Mare, embracing the city's tranquility as he prepares to contribute to the squad.

"I have enjoyed the city so far; it’s very calm and peaceful. I am looking to really add to the defensive line and make sure we keep clean sheets. The club and team have been very welcoming," said Guerrier.

Olimpia head coach Giuseppe Funicello emphasized the importance of the signing following the departure of Caba—a key figure in the backline—who moved on to pursue opportunities in Hungary.

"Losing Caba was difficult; he was a strong presence in our defense. But we didn’t want to stand in the way of his opportunities. Molvensly is someone we have been tracking for a while, and we are excited to get him started here. He is a professional on and off the pitch," Funicello stated.

The club is actively reinforcing its squad, with further signings set to be announced in the coming days.

Olimpia Satu Mare continues its commitment to strengthening its roster with players who bring both quality and professionalism, as the team pushes forward in its ambitions for the season.
