Former SoccerViza Alumni Nate Steinwascher Set to Retire Following the 2025 USL Championship Season

SoccerViza is proud to honor the incredible career of Nate Steinwascher, a former SoccerViza alumni, who is set to retire at the conclusion of the 2025 USL Championship season.


A testament to the power of perseverance and opportunity, Nate’s journey highlights the potential of underdog players who work tirelessly to achieve their dreams.

Nate’s professional career was kickstarted when SoccerViza helped him secure an opportunity in Sweden, where he showcased his talents and began building his reputation as a top goalkeeper. Upon returning to the United States, Nate joined Detroit City FC, where he would go on to leave an indelible mark on the club and its supporters.



Over eight extraordinary years with Detroit City FC, Nate has made 226 saves, kept 30 clean sheets, and played a crucial role in the club’s historic rise from the NPSL to competing in the USL Championship. Known for his consistency, leadership, and passion, Nate has become a cornerstone of Detroit City FC and a role model for aspiring players.
